Publicity STORM FAQ
Since I launched Publicity STORM last week, I’ve received a flood of emails about the program and even about PR in general.
I thought I’d share them with you, just in case you have the same questions yourself.
Q1: I’m just starting out writing my book/building my product/launching my company – do I want to get publicity now?
A: Absolutely. If you’re writing a book or creating a program then you already have the expertise to be a journalist “source” – a person that can comment on breaking news, trends or particular topics.
In fact, these days publishers are looking for authors who can build their own platform and have a loyal following and buzz around them. They want to know you can be your own publicist.
If you’re launching a new company or product, you can test your message or your product right away in a “soft” launch before you spend lots of money on it. Test and adjust, test and adjust!
You may also attract potential partners, investors and of course, customers, by getting early publicity.
Q2: Should I (the entrepreneur) do this program, or can I send a team member who will do it for me?
A: Every business owner should go through a process of achieving clarity and strategic vision in your business, so you can figure out what will make you stand out and want reporters and influencers to talk to you.
Sending a team member (VA or assistant) is a great idea if your business is at the stage where you have additional support. They already know your business well and can help you craft your stories and do the tactical implementation that is not so strategic in nature so you can free up your time for strategic thinking.
A team member who can help you do PR will also be 100 to 400% less expensive than a PR professional.
Q3: How is STORM different from your previous program “How to Do Your Own PR”?
A: STORM builds onto my previous home study program that is currently TWO sessions long. STORM is FIVE lessons, plus with the additional live classes with the journalists and the media training it is actually SEVEN classes along with a lot more templates.
Feel free to check out my previous home study program at $197 here:

Q4: Are the calls downloadable?
A: YES, you will have the ability to download all the call recordings as MP3s to listen to at your convenience. You’ll also get transcripts of all the calls if you prefer to read.
Q5: How much time daily/weekly would you recommend I devote to your process if I choose to sign up?
A: Like any new process, the first 5 weeks will be intense as we go through the classes. An hour for the program and as much time as you want to spend on your homework to get you actually implementing what we learned.
I think once you understand the process you’ll realize you can devote 2 to 3 hours a week and gain results.
Remember though, that marketing needs to have a marathon mindset, not a sprint, in order to gain the best results.
