Here’s a treat for you: stats and tips for your holiday influencer marketing. Let us know what this inspires you to do! – Elena
Is your holiday marketing in full swing? Before all of you finalize your client campaigns and influencer programs, one type of influencer should be noted for the season. YouTubbers or vloggers, as many like to call them.
With recent research in hand, I’ve discovered that vloggers are driving a lot of the gift inspiration during the holiday season. Here are four stats you need to know before your client campaigns fully ramp up.
1. Reviews and ratings still matter. Last holiday season, 80% of shoppers watched product reviews and ratings. These are an important part of the decision-making process and can make or break a sale, whether it be online or in-store.
2. People relate to people. 68% of shoppers prefer product videos from “people like me”. The vloggers that succeed in this business aren’t afraid to be real, which is why their viewers listen up when they have advice to share.
3. Unboxing videos are great for the holidays. There was a 57% incase in “unboxing” video views since last year. These types of videos showcase vloggers opening products they got from a store or brand and are generally most popular in beauty, electronics, and subscription box services. They’re one of the best ways to provide gift inspiration with an element of surprise.
4. Haul videos are increasingly popular. 1.1 billion views of videos last year had the word “haul” in the title. Haul videos showcase a variety of products bought during a shopping trip. These are great for gift lists, makeup, fashion, accessories, and so many other types of products.
Ahead, I’m sharing even more stats on how to ramp up your holiday marketing campaigns and how influencers on various social networks can help you out (in case vloggers aren’t your jam).
