Every Start-up Entrepreneur’s Angel and Mentor

Our #FollowFriday recommendation this week is Martin Zwilling, aka @StartUpPro on Twitter.

Martin Zwilling TwitterMartin is a contributor to Forbes.com’s “Startup Professionals Musings” blog, where Martin discusses the many topics that cover the business of startups and entrepreneurship.

When I began following him late last year, he had been sharing valuable business advice to a large online audience of over 220,000 Twitter followers. Today, that following has grown to over 300,000.

I first discovered Martin within the Forbes.com business pages, but later learned Martin also writes a daily blog from his own site.  To boot, his posts are  published at respectable business sites such as the Harvard Business Review, Business Insider and the Huffington Post!

Martin is definitely a prolific writer who’s passionate about topics related to building businesses, management, and funding various endeavors.

All-In-One StartUp Resource

Nothing stops Martin when it comes to sharing wisdom on startups and entrepreneurship. Recently, this very busy business guy and writer released his first book titled “Do You Have What It Takes To Be An Entrepreneur?”.  One review said, “….all of the information is in well organized, easily actionable, easy to read form…”  This can be a perfect reference tool for every entrepreneur who may have limited time on their hands.

Martin is the passionate CEO of Startup Professionals, which provides services to nurture and guide startup founders around the world. Martin is the perfect person to lead this group, with a 30-year track record of demonstrated results as an executive in general management, computer software development, product management, and marketing, as well as in leading technical transformations, conducting due diligence for investors, mentoring new technical executives, and overseeing business development, customer services, and outsourcing both onshore and offshore – WHEW!

Get to Know Martin Zwilling

I recently connected with Martin to see the lighter side of him. He shares his insights below:

Laughs at: Myself, when I make every mistake in the book, but I guess that’s the best way to learn.

Hopes: To help new entrepreneurs avoid some of my mistakes, and learn to laugh at themselves as well.

Thinks: There has never been a better time than now to start your own business.

Reveals: Sometimes I’m embarrassed to say that I love what I do, and I’ve enjoyed all the jobs in my career so far.

Dream Coffee Date: Anyone who can tell me the inside scoop on a major startup success, like Facebook.

Is Inspired By: People who really think outside the box, and make it happen, but still seem to have fun, like Richard Branson.

Martin is an active business person who keeps his heart close to many startups, funding groups and angels. He is also on the startup selection committee of the Arizona Angels Venture Group Inc., Executive in Residence at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and member of the Advisory Boards for several startups.

Do you know anyone who keeps a close eye on new businesses? Do share!

    Hey Prinyourpajamas,
Thanks for the above, We all have viewed and appreciated watching movies. Most of us never ever assumed two times about what goes on behind the scenes even when it comes to titles of the films. Have been there any periods previous to when you and your mates talked about about what is the further correct title to it? We have so a wide range of occasions in the past. Just like the script and the screenplay, the titles of videos go by means of several adjustments. In reality, it may perhaps have started out out certainly extensive and ended up to have a one term title. The everyone driving who think that and produce film titles have one particular thrilling employment.
    Keep up the good work
