Hi Marilena

Thanks for stopping by! If your business goals are currently tied to your local area, then the best use of your time is to contact local media. I think if you start looking, you'll be surprised at the number of outlets in your city.

Don't just think of newspapers, pick up free local magazines, look online, don't forget radio, TV and even local bloggers. There's no end of opportunity in a local market if you just start looking.

And don't say no to interviews outside your market if they come your way - it just builds credibility and one day you may wish to expand and building your PR now just serves your business goals for later.

What do you suggest for the Mompreneur who for now needs to keep her buisness in the city. I paint murals and specialize in childrens rooms, and I feel like I have limitations to how many people I can contact because I work in the homes of my clients (and I'm not into traveling with my children being small). Should I try to just concentrate on calling companies/media in my own city?
